Following a major reorganisation of the Engineering Directorate, we delivered a programme to revise job descriptions at a senior level.

A guiding principle was that the person best placed to prepare a job description where the focus is on the job outputs is the manager rather than the jobholder.

Our role was initially to work with the Managers and ensure that there was clarity regarding their organisation in terms of objectives, strategy, structure and management processes.
