This project required identification of all existing Engineering and other standards applicable to London Underground’s assets, and the assembly of these into a single logical structure for review of completeness.
To achieve this, we developed a multi-dimensional database which identified the need for standards, and the development status of each standard.
We also developed a station condition modelling tool which enabled non-structural surveys of station condition to be performed and resulted in cost estimates to bring each station condition up to standard. Tests performed on several stations indicated the power and accuracy of this model as a forecasting method.
We then developed a system which took the information from the above model, and allowed selective priorities and filters to be applied, to provide a costed work program to be produced, by station asset group, line, and a variety of other criteria.
