Central Government Sector

Central Government is an important sector for Touchstone Renard with a unique set of challenges and objectives that has led to significant changes in recent years. A special understanding of the protocol, dynamics and culture of Central Government is needed here, as it becomes more reform conscious — aware of the need to be more accountable, more customer-focused and more efficient and effective in what is done.

Touchstone Renard has undertaken a number of reviews for Central Government departments, (including the MOD), advising on strategic and operational direction, taking into account the many business dimensions that contribute to a more commercially-focused approach.

Rationalisation of government operations has involved management reviews of assets, sites, equipment, and personnel.
For some of the services they offer- both internally to government based customers, and externally to the public, marketing reviews have been undertaken to assist them in their approach and direction.

Outsourcing reviews have also been undertaken to help evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery.
Regulators and Agencies, have also recently worked with our consultants in investigations into nation-wide service provision between town and country, as well as individual local authority service performance.
