Richard has in-depth experience of working in local government with the political leadership, under the ‘modernised agenda’, and top management teams. He has worked extensively as a Human Resources generalist with experience in all aspects of Human Resources Management and in training and development. Recently he has also developed equality policies and procedures.
He is self motivated and high on commitment and integrity. He is also strong on leadership and motivating teams having managed both small and large teams. He has enjoyed leading consultation with Staff Representatives and public speaking. He has well developed presentation skills and approaches work from the perspective that it is going to be an enjoyable experience and works to instil that feeling in all around him.
Richard has been intimately involved in bringing about strategic change and major re-organisation within local government particularly with Waverley Borough Council.
