He has published on subjects as diverse as the application of computers in Manufacturing, as well as articles on management consultancy. He also has substantial experience of marketing, sales, web site development and business administration. His background includes mechanical engineering, where he practised as a design engineer in the rail traction, gas turbine and teaching equipment industries, and in quality systems. Having worked for several leading management consultancies, including Handley Walker, PE, Batalas, PERA, BFC, BBM and HPO, Rob has significant experience of the public, manufacturing, commercial, IT and service sectors. Recent assignments have included a major project to upgrade systems in a local authority to ensure compliance with Corgi regulations on gas servicing and the introduction of a new gas servicing partner. Previously he has advised on a major reorganisation of the reorganisation of the Training Wing of the RAF Regiment, the implementation of upgraded ISO9001:2000 systems into a local authority, a manufacturer of plastic food packaging and two leading IT companies, and the delivery of training in management development and quality.
