Simon Nicholls is experienced in management and analytical roles having worked in contract management for a major corporate body, as well as in financial reporting for the rail industry. His degree, obtained in New Zealand, is centred in management science and engineering, with aspects of plant physiology.

Since joining Carter Holt Harvey as a graduate, his dedicated work ethic and ambitions to enter management saw him rapidly progress through positions as supervisor, co-ordinator and analyst. He then became a contract manager responsible for achieving production targets, monitoring quality assurance programmes and implementing health and safety initiatives.

In England he has worked with First Great Eastern Railways as a financial analyst to the Sales and Marketing team, responsible for detailed project analysis and budgeting. His travels have seen him working in the Arctic Circle as a land surveyor and engineering inspector. More recently Simon has visited the Orient and lived in Japan.
